Mothers Day Meal, I wanted a treat, so I got some New York Strip steak, now I know why I haven’t purchased it in years. It was more expensive than I remember. But, I had been thinking of it all day and really wanted a good steak. We had a cold rainy Mothers Day but nothing was going to stop me from grilling it. Happily it turned out really good.

This months Sushi Sunday was happily shared with some members of our local food group at Ninja. It was a fun evening of talking, laughing, enjoying good food and even getting brave to try something new. I always say to give things a try. True, you may really not like it. On the other hand you may find something you truly enjoy.

It was a slow week of cooking for me. We had our Monthly Food Group Gathering at The Pizza Cart, which created yummy leftovers. The weather is getting warm, so our local food trucks are able to get out and about. And one birthday meal plan had several recipes in it. And, well, due to a rice trial an additional recipe was used.

Happy National Grilled Cheese Day!
Ok, so I normally don’t do anything for national this day or that. Although, today April 12, 2016 is National Grilled Cheese Day. Our house (well me) does not function without cheese, so why not.
Happy grilled cheese on an english muffin.
Topped with cheddar and mazzarella cheese along with grilled onion topped with garlic.
A must have side, tomato soup topped with fresh chives and parmesan cheese with some fresh plain yogurt for some extra creaminess.
