No, you didn’t read the title wrong… this really is a recipe for pizza in a slow cooker.
I love recipes I have never thought would be a possibility.
A two hour cooking time, so not real long, or to short. Also, being done in the slow cooker you don’t have to sit around the oven making sure nothing burns. For the families getting home from work, kids with projects and homework this seems like an easy dinner plus a couple hours to work on what needs to be done, or just relax for a couple hours with your feet up after a long day. Enjoy!

Daily Recipe Find – Tomato Soup Spaghetti Sauce
I know you think this is an odd recipe find, well I admit it is. Although since I found it out of necessity I had to share in case you find yourself in the same situation.
I generally stockpile canned spaghetti sauce. So, last night, thinking I still had some I planned on cooking chicken parmesan. Chicken was in the oven, noodles boiling, next up sauce…. no sauce. Ahhhh, to the computer I went, tomato soup can be used correct? Well, yes it can..

I did some adjustments, because tomato soup is sweet to me, and I wanted a more hearty tomato flavor. I put some olive oil in the pot, put about 4 tablespoons of tomato paste in, stirred until heated and started turning from red to brown. Then added about 2 tablespoons of chunk garlic (yes I love garlic) about a teaspoon each of basil and oregano, dash of salt, pepper and onion powder. Heated that up on low for about 5 minutes. I then deglazed the pot with some red wine, (water will also work). Then stirred in the tomato soup. I let it simmer on low for about 15 minutes. I am happy to report that dinner went from almost not happening to the tasty dinner I was craving.
I love versatile canned goods. Enjoy!

Daily Recipe Find – Baked Coconut Shrimp with Tropical Dipping Sauce
I enjoy shrimp in every recipe I have had. It is the time of year when the weather gets colder and snow is soon to flutter down. A tropical food escape is always fun. And this sauce, it sounds truly wonderful. Enjoy!

Daily Recipe Find – Roasted Mushrooms with Sherry and Creamy Polenta
Mushrooms are a touchy subject. You love them, or hate them, there isn’t much in between. I happen to be on the love side. I admit there are some dishes I cook and puree them so my family can get all of the flavor, yet none of the texture. Although, this is not a recipe for that. This is for my fellow mushroom lovers. Enjoy!

Daily Recipe Find – Roasted Carrots with Tumeric
I love tumeric, it is great on many root vegetables, I even like it in my scrambled eggs. And of course great in soups and tea. This is a fun easy side dish including tumeric. I never would have thought to finish the carrots off with a squeeze of lime before serving. I love finding recipes with new ideas. Enjoy!

Daily Recipe Find – Pumpkin Coconut Soup
Pumpkin season in full swing, cooler weather is setting in, a cozy soup with fall flavors sounds good. If you have never tried garam masala it is worth a try. You can make your own, although best using whole spices, toasting them and then grinding (a recipe here) and since I rarely have whole spices I buy mine already made. It is a rich hearty spice full of many layers of flavor. And, since I am almost out, it is going on the grocery list along with coconut milk so I can make this soup. Enjoy!

Daily Recipe Find – Fish Tacos with Creamy Chipotle Sauce and Pico de Gallo
I know many of us have our favorite restaurant to get tasty fish tacos from. It is always fun to go out, yet this recipe is easy, and loaded with flavor perfect to enjoy these as home. Don’t let the chipotle scare you off, the best part of making these at home is you can adjust the amount of spice to your families liking. Enjoy!

Daily Recipe Find – Sunday Sweets – Slow Cooker Berry Cobbler
When on the look out for a Sunday Sweets recipe the picture of this before it was cooked pulled me in. Although, I admit I thought it was marshmallows and chocolate chips, it wasn’t but that vision now in my head will lead me to creating something with those. This is a tasty cobbler made with refrigerated biscuits and blueberries. Of course I don’t have blueberries… but I have apples. A tasty treat with apples, then drizzle with caramel sauce. Enjoy!

Daily Recipe Find – Chili Pasta Skillet
This is a super easy one pot meal, even the pasta. I am going to have to try this. Although, since I have chicken and no ground beef, I will modify and use chicken. And, instead of kidney beans use a white bean. An easy meal shouldn’t be made difficult running all around the store. So, the ground beef will be on the next grocery list. This time will be chicken. Enjoy!

Daily Recipe Find – Pesto Chicken Pasta with Sun Dried Tomatoes
I just picked up a bulk order of chicken, so of course I am on the look out for new recipes. This one jumped out at me. Well, most any recipe with pasta jumps out at me. I do need to make up some yogurt, and unfortunately buy some basil. Mine has sprouted, although only 1/2 inch tall. I may add some capers to this. I love the combination of artichoke hearts and capers. Enjoy!

Daily Recipe Find – Crockpot Honey Pork and Apples
It is still apple time. I admit I tried a version of this… not pretty with stuffing the apples in the pork tenderloin. I will try this one…and I have a new sharp knife so I think I can make it look pretty like they do. This is very basic, no garlic, no salt, no pepper. I will have control and follow the recipe, I like my basic seasonings I put in everything, although sometimes simplicity is a good thing. Enjoy.

Daily Recipe Find – Crockpot Chicken with Apple and Sweet Potato
We just had our annual apple festival in a nearby town, so of course I have a bunch of apples to start processing. It makes for a few days of work so an easy crock pot dinner is defiantly helpful. Throw it all in, then I can work on processing all day and not have to stop mid way through to cook dinner. And with all the apples around a recipe with apples is always a plus. I am going to cook down some apples in a pot with a little bit of cinnamon then puree for a quick applesauce for this crock pot meal. The flavors will blend well in the crock pot, so I don’t need a long simmer on the apples to blend the spices, the crockpot will do that through the day. Enjoy.

Daily Recipe Find – Sunday Sweets – Slow Cooker Caramel Apple Pie Dip
Apple harvest is here! There is always the standard apple pie, applesauce, apple butter… Yet I always look for something new to add to my list of apple fun recipes. This is my new sweet treat for this year. Luckily I have some Four Country Gals Goat Milk Caramel Sauce to use in this recipe. If you are not local to get it at one of the markets, they do ship off their site. It is sweet creamy good. I can’t wait to make this recipe.
