Weekly Food Fun – April 4th

The last of the lamb from Easter was finished up this week. I wanted to try something new for our final leftovers. I was happy to find a recipe for a Lamb and Sweet Potato Bake. Since the lamb was already cooked, only baked the sweet potatoes for 1 1/2 hours until done, then put in the lamb to heat up. I topped it with my fresh mint jelly.

Sushi Sunday Preview – Birthday Dinner
Today is my Mom’s Birthday, Happy Birthday again! Love You!
For her dinner she wanted Ninja, so the Birthday Girl got her wish.
Great service, we had the Hibachi Dinner along with some Sushi.
My Mom has found a new favorite… Second time ordering the Spicy Tuna Handroll, it is completely loaded with spicy tuna.
Fire at the hibachi is always fun and entertaining.
And, this is a sneak peak of the beginnings of her Seafood Deluxe Dinner
A Birthday isn’t complete without a desert.
Tempera Fried Ice Cream,

and Happy Birthday song.

Easter Dinner Preparation 2016
My mom always buys the family a leg of lamb and I prep it and cook it for Easter. I generally do our basic seasoning and oven baked, which is always good, it is what I grew up with. Although, this year I have seen several recipes for grilling leg of lamb. I couldn’t help myself. I must try it.
