TRIALS – When your hot water heater breaks on a Friday.

I did the trouble shooting guide.. I was proud I figured out how to light the pilot light… YES!! I fixed it… then out it went.  NO, not fixed.  So try again and count the blinking indicator light..  1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7.  Gas control electronic fault.   Reality hits there was no way I was going to conquer this with my go to tools of zip ties and duct tape.   No, I really wouldnt attempt that with a water heater, although those are the tools I can handle.  So, it was time to call the proffesionals.  Thankful they could come out and test it, although sad they couldn’t get the part until Monday.

I don’t think we realize how lucky we are to have hot water until we don’t have it.  There are videos of people washing up in a cold mountain stream… OHHH, so refreshing and wonderful, feeling alive!   No, No it is not!  It is cold and miserable. You feel alive with an icecream headache without the benefit of icecream.  Not good!  If you saw the next few minutes of the scene that weren’t taped they would have someone wrapping them up in a warm blanket or something.

SMILES – I know, how could there be smiles with this scenerio??  A new purpose for my crock pot.  I love my crock pot for cooking… of course.  Yet, with no hot water it keeps a batch of hot water available as needed.  A minimal amount, yet it works.
