It is Sushi Sunday time, although this month was a tiny one, yet fun because I was able to try out a new restaurant while we were on vacation.

They had some interesting combinations, it was hard to narrow my choices.
I was not disappointed with what I picked out.

NEW YORKER – Smoked salmon, cream cheese, capers and green onion.
I enjoyed the capers in this, they added that nice light salt flavor complementing the smoked creaminess of the salmon and cream cheese.

CATERPILLAR – Eel and cucumber inside,
topped with avocado and eel sauce.
Eel continues to be one of my favorites.  The avocado on this was so creamy, and the eel sauce made for a nice sweet smoke flavor throughout.

ATOMIC SHRIMP ROLL – Crispy Tempura Shrimp, Green Onion
and Spicy Japanese Aoli, topped with Teriyaki Sauce.
This is my new favorite, I am sad it is so far away.  No skimping on the shrimp as you can see.  I enjoyed that it was simple, full of shrimp, and the Spicy Japanese Aoli was a nice light amount of spice to it as not overpower the shrimp.
