Our monthly gathering for December was at..

I admit I was thrilled when our fearless leader teamed up with Lighthouse for our December gathering. Stepping into this restaurant transports me back to my other home… Florida.
The decor surrounding guests with the calming colors of the ocean, the fine details of shells, pictures of sea turtles, sailboats and beachside beauty.. I feel I should really be at a beachside restaurant, although I am in the middle of a small Southern Utah town.
And, it is not only the decor that transports the guests to a beachside restaurant, the seafood seems fresh from the seaside docks. Shrimp, crab, lobster, mahi mahi, red snapper, flounder, salmon, swordfish are some, yet not all of the tasty choices.
And, for those non-seafood food lovers.. you are not left out. They have several chicken meals along wth steak, rack of pork, and fall off the bone St Louis spare ribs. Plus salads which are a meal on their own.
Now for the food…
Getting things started with the bread, fresh made every morning..
Crab soup is a standard on the menu –
Sometimes we are surprised with a wonderful treat of Lobster Bisque –
Caesar Salad is my sons favorite –
Next favorite is the BBQ Chop Salad – romaine lettuce, cabbage, corn, onions, bacon bits, shredded cheese, and green onions. Served with ranch dressing and barbecue sauce. See, I told you the salads were a meal in themselves.
Seafood Artichoke Dip – Crab, shrimp, and artichoke served with baked Old Bay pita chips.
Fried Calamari – Squid and tentacles sprinkled with sesame seeds and scallions served with a maple chili sauce.
Main Dishes –
Crab Cakes Sandwich –
Lettuce, tomato and tarter sauce served with fries and cole slaw.
Fish and Chips – Beer battered cod with tartar sauce and cole slaw.
Served with choice of kettle chips or fries.
Broiled Hanger Steak – Rubbed with a secret blend of spices.
Catfish – Fried catfish, corn relish and chipotle mayo over dirty rice.
Chicken Limone – Sautet chicken breast with green onions, tomatoes, and spinach with white wine and lemon sauce.
Stuffed Flounder – Filled with crab meat stuffing with a light lemon butter sauce. Served with choice of rice or vegetables.
Mahi Mahi Tacos – Served on flour tortillas with guajillo sauce, cabbage, cilantro, and queso fresco. Served with dirty rice.
A side order of Sweet Potato Fries –
And of course not to forget about the little food lovers of the family. They do have a kids menu and I was told by one of our little foodies that these were really good. Chicken Tenders and Fries –
